The Twality Springfest Auction was a HUGE success!
A BIG thank you for your support of our online auction. We met our goal of raising over $7000 for Twality. Your generous donations and participation made this event so successful. We cannot do these events without support and we are so lucky to have our Twality staff and community rallying for our cause. We want to express our gratitude for your help in fundraising so we can support important programs at Twality.

Twality Web Leaders Give Back!
On Tuesday, April 28th, the 8th Grade
WEB Leaders volunteered their time to stay after school and plant over 100
flowers in front of Twality. This was
made possible by the generous donation of flowers from Al’s Garden Center in
Sherwood. The students had a great time
beautifying the school.
2016 East Coast / Washington DC Trip
Current 7th Grade Families: If you are interested in sending your child on a trip of a lifetime, consider the East Coast / Washington DC trip, June 2016. This trip is 8 days / 7 nights from Boston to NY to Philadelphia / Amish Country / Gettysburg to Washington DC. Your child will walk in the same places as many of the historical figures of American History have walked. We will see where Paul Revere rode, where laws are made and the Liberty Bell. We will see a play on Broadway, visit the 9/11 Memorial and the Statue of Liberty, to only name a few. This is an educational trip disguised as fun!

Oregon Writing Festival
On Saturday, May 2, 8th grade Language Arts teacher, Karen Johnson, took forty-three 7th and 8th graders from Twality joined 700 other top writers from around the state for the 31st annual Oregon Writing Festival at Portland State University. Students shared their own stories, participated in two writing workshops, and enjoyed a presentation of Graham Salisbury, award winning author of Under the Blood-red Sun, Eyes of the Emperor, Night of Howling Dogs, and many other kid favorites. Authors April Henry and Jane Kurtz spoke to other grade levels, although Twality kids were able to meet them.
Thank you to the Twality PSO for providing the bus and some scholarships. Thanks also to the 7th and 8th ELA teachers who donated a day of their weekend to make this special event possible. "Best field trip ever," and "Best day of my life!" were two enthusiastic comments overheard by teachers. Our students represented Twality with talented writing and exemplary behavior.
